Helen Macintyre has worked in the international art world for over 20 years after graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 1996 with an MA Honours in History of Art. From 1997 to 2004, she worked for Hall & Knight, dealers and agents in European Fine Art in London and New York. Helen then became part of the Client Advisory team at Christie's in 2004 assisting HNW private and corporate clients on the dispersal and acquisition of works of art through auction. Helen founded Macintyre Art Advisory in 2007 and has helped build and manage a number of private, museum and corporate collections. Helen sits on the Advisory Board of Apollo Magazine and is a consultant to the Pilkington Anglo-Japanese Foundation. She was voted Spear's Art Advisor of the Year in 2009 and has been listed in the Spear's 500 Top Ten Art Advisors since 2014.
Paul Ress is an expert in asset-backed lending and founded Right Capital in 2012 to help bring liquidity to owners of high value assets through innovative financial products. He has focused on the fine art sector which is particularly poorly served & understood by the banking community. He is particularly interested in the application of technology in the development of next generation financial products that can help transform the international art market. He often speaks on the opportunities and risks of art lending and has extensive knowledge on the broader art finance market. Paul is a ceramics and South-African art collector.
Eleni is leading the events & partnerships at Apollo Collector Services. She is the Client and Business Development Director at Right Capital that she joined early on in 2012 realising its potential to define the financial services sector for the art market. She focuses on developing new art dealer and collector clients while also working on the overall business strategy. She heads the Art as an Alternative Investment course and also lectures on the MA in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Previously, she worked as the Communications Director of the innovative e-commerce art company Fabulous Noble and also handled the PR strategies for contemporary London artists. She has an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art with a specialisation in art market research and an MA in History of Art from UCL. She holds a BA in History of Art from the University of Warwick. Eleni is a member of PAIAM.
Ashish is a Technical Project Manager and Senior Developer. He leads on technology both at Apollo Collector Services and at Right Capital where he has worked since 2011. Ashish develops and advises on cutting-edge web, mobile and API development and has worked on technology products and services across the travel, entertainment, finance, small business, eSports and transportation sectors. Ashish holds an MSc in Advanced Computing from King’s College, London, a BSc in Computer Information Systems and a Diploma in Software Engineering from the National Indian Institute of Technology.
Thomas Marks has been the editor of Apollo since 2013. He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and Magdalen College, Oxford, where he completed his doctorate on 19th-century poetry and architecture in 2010. He has written on art and literature for a wide range of publications, and is a co-founder of the online magazine, The Junket.
